I currently serve as Principal Company Pianist with Ballet West in Salt Lake City, where I play daily company class, repertoire rehearsals, and orchestral performances throughout the season.

My work as a ballet pianist has taken me from studios and theaters across the United States to Scotland, where I earned my Master of Music degree in Piano for Dance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland while working with Scottish Ballet. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with dancers, choreographers, and companies including Houston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Mark Morris Dance Group, and many others throughout the dance world.

I love the collaborative and highly responsive nature of ballet accompaniment — shaping atmosphere in real time, supporting movement through rhythm and phrasing, and adapting musically to the unique energy of each class, rehearsal, or performance. My experience spans company class, rehearsals, auditions, summer intensives, choreography workshops, and live performance.

Alongside studio work, I’ve also performed for world premiere productions and choreographic projects, including serving as the principal rehearsal pianist for Sophie Laplane’s Dextera with Scottish Ballet and performing Debussy’s Clair de Lune onstage for Terence Marling’s world premiere an opening in Chicago in 2024.

Whether working in a professional company setting, conservatory environment, or open class, my goal is always the same: to create music that is collaborative, attentive, and deeply connected to the dancers in the room.
